 Councillor and Clerk’s Report

Cllr Brockway

Emergency Planning and Flooding  at LCC look to Parish Councils for information on flooding in their area.

There are rumours but there is no delay in elections. LCC are positive for a unitary but districts are not so positive. There is potential that it will be two unitary councils.

Planning Application

WL/ 2024/00016 Lorry Park

The response from the Planning agent had been sent. It was disappointing to note that despite repeated request no response had been received from Highways.  It was agreed to contact the planning agent and let them know about the shelter belt that ran down the side of the A15 which should not be cut across.

The application was not to go to the February Committee but anticipated to take place in March.

Riseholme Bench

Cllr Smith raised the possibility that the bench could be placed on Church land. This would be checked with the Diocese.
