University Matt Bagley introduced Roger Ward who was familiar with Riseholme . He was warmly welcomed. Matt Bagley reported that the weather pattern changes were causing problems. The trees were showing signs of stress. The geese which flew in were unfortunately not leaving as per normal migration patterns. These was a national problem. This had an impact on the lake the grass areas on which they settled and on other birdlife. Measures which had been tried were not successful to date. It was being considered whether managing down numbers was necessary. The Parish Council welcomed the open approach and hoped an alternative solution could be found. Lambing Day was to be held on 13th March. They were to use the Lawress Hall carpark and have a one way system in place. There would be local stalls and it would be managed by the University. The campus had received a gold award for being hedgehog friendly. The bio diversity was improving Lawress Hall was being worked on but there were no immediate plans to reopen it. Footpaths they were looking at the plausibility of a footpath by the side of the Lane.
