University Matt Bagley report:- Lawress Hall was being refurbished but there was a world shortage of materials. It is the biggest building owned by the University. It was looking to be used for staff accommodation, training facilities and conference space. The Vice Chancellor is Neil Juster who has visited Riseholme Campus twice and is keen to see it develop. On site they have 25 companies who undertaking internationally renown research. They have planted a vineyard and strawberries to research electronic picking. The campus is getting healthy with better yields and using up to date machinery. A red bull has shown show promise and MB is now part of the red cattle society. Lincolnshire Long Wools off spring are being sold to begin flocks elsewhere rather than develop a flock here. Agreed to do a campus tour. |
